Cancer survivor joins first all-civilian space mission
Hayley Arceneaux
is the first bone cancer survivor to become an astronaut. In January this
29-old physician assistant was picked to join the crew of the world's first all-civilian space mission which
was funded by Jared Isaacman, a
38-year-old billionaire. Of the four available seats on the spacecraft, one was
offered to a member of staff at the hospital who turned out to be Hayley,
Thanks to Issacamn she will he first person with a prosthetic body part to
visit space.
In my opinion,
Hayley’s story is very inspiring. At the age of 10, she was fighting for her life and now after 19 years, she will become the
youngest American ever to orbit Earth. I
think Ms Arceneaux is a true inspiration for people who lost their self-belief or
face many difficulties in their life such as serious illness or disability. She
shows that even if you are not perfect you can still achieve wonderful things.

An inspiring story for those of us who tend to give up when face with minor obstacles.
