My observation
Since the beginning of the present schoolyear I’ve observed that whenever I’m near the pedestrian crossing I always see someone using a mobile phone while crossing it. I’m not sure whether it’s me who just started paying attention to it or basically more and more people do it. Furthermore, it’s not only the young people who do this but also adults, even after 40.
This
problem clearly shows us that even though mobile devices are a technological miracle,
which helps people in many types of things, they still might be dangerous when
using wrong. We all are partly addicted to mobile devices but it’s way more
serious addiction when someone can’t leave
a phone for 20 seconds in order to safely cross the road. The effects of phone
addiction are mostly associated with some mental issues but in this case, it might
cause serious body injury or even death. There have been some attempts to
prevent it such as creating a law according to which it would be illegal and
fined but as of this moment, I can’t see any progress.
Isn't there a law in the parliament that would ban the use of smartphone while crossing a street?
