The Protestant Reformation
The Reformation was a religious revolution that took place in the XVIth
century. It was started by Martin Luther who in 1517 published his “95 Theses”
in which he criticized the Church’s sale
of indulgences and corruption in the papacy. The sale of indulgences was kind of “deal”
between the church and a believer. A person who wanted to get rid of sins and enter
heaven more quickly by reducing the time in purgatory had to pay for an
indulgence. Luther didn’t agree with this practice, insisting that the Bible is the central source of religious
authority and that salvation is reached through faith, not through a piece of
paper.
The reformation was one of the most important events in history and it definitely changed the world by creating one of the 3 major forces in Christianity- Protestantism which still has many believers all over the world.

Interesting but surprisingly mistake-free, which suggests you copied bits and pieces instead of using you own words. Did you?
